CEDECON offers Ph. D. programme at the initiation of Dean’s Office, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, TU. The in -country Ph. D. programme was initiated in TU since 1966 but remained very limited in number. However, with the passage of time, due to popularity of this area, more than two dozen and half economists have been awarded Ph. D. degree from TU till date.

The candidate with at least second-class master’s degree in economics is eligible to apply for Ph. D. programme. S/he will be eligible subject to the approval of Research Committee, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, TU. Research scholars have to submit their thesis within seven years including two years grace period from the date of first registration. If failed to submit within prescribed duration has to re-register as of new candidate
